A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to reactivation of certain real estate broker licenses. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter H, Chapter 1101, Occupations Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 1101.3631 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 1101.3631. REACTIVATION OF BROKER LICENSE. (a) A |
|
|
person whose license as a broker was on inactive status on August |
|
|
31, 2011, and who has a degree in real estate from an accredited |
|
|
college or university may reactivate the license without complying |
|
|
with the requirements and procedures for obtaining an original |
|
|
license. |
|
|
(b) This section expires January 1, 2017. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
