A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the use of money administered through the Energy |
|
|
Services Program for Low-Income Individuals. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 2306.097, Government Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: |
|
|
(c) Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter or |
|
|
the rules adopted under this chapter, money administered under this |
|
|
section may be used for any purpose and in any manner that complies |
|
|
with federal law if the recipient of that money certifies in writing |
|
|
to the department that the recipient cannot use any of the remaining |
|
|
money in compliance with this chapter or the rules adopted under |
|
|
this chapter. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
