A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the use of hazard warning lamps to warn approaching |
|
|
vehicles of stopped traffic. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 547.331, Transportation Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: |
|
|
(d) The operator of the last vehicle in a line of traffic |
|
|
stopped on a roadway with a speed limit of at least 55 miles per hour |
|
|
may display the vehicle's hazard lamps to warn approaching vehicles |
|
|
that traffic is stopped. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
