A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the disclosure of information relating to certain |
|
|
contributions in certain campaign finance reports. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 254, Election Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 254.044 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 254.044. DISCLOSURE OF CERTAIN INFORMATION NOT |
|
|
ALLOWED. (a) For purposes of this section, "donor" means a person |
|
|
who makes a contribution. |
|
|
(b) Notwithstanding any other law, a person required to |
|
|
disclose information in a report required by this chapter may not |
|
|
disclose in the report information regarding a contribution, other |
|
|
than a political contribution, that a donor specifically requests |
|
|
that the person not use to make a political contribution or |
|
|
political expenditure. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
