CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Many college graduates struggle to find work in |
|
|
their chosen profession, and a study to determine which degree |
|
|
plans are most likely to result in employment opportunities could |
|
|
provide valuable information to the state; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the 84th Legislature of the State of Texas |
|
|
hereby direct the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to |
|
|
conduct a study to examine the jobs that college graduates are able |
|
|
to attain in their degree field within two years of graduation and |
|
|
how effective it may be to use this information to reappropriate |
|
|
funding to colleges; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the secretary of state forward an official |
|
|
copy of this resolution to the chair of the Texas Higher Education |
|
|
Coordinating Board. |
