R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Employees of Methodist Dallas Medical Center and |
|
members of the local community are taking part in the 32nd Annual |
|
National Night Out crime and drug prevention observance on October |
|
6, 2015; and |
|
WHEREAS, By joining together in this important initiative, |
|
participants are raising awareness of crime and drug prevention |
|
strategies and encouraging support for anticrime programs while |
|
strengthening neighborhood spirit and police-community |
|
partnerships; and |
|
WHEREAS, Since its inception in 1984, National Night Out has |
|
grown to include more than 37 million people in the United States |
|
and Canada, and each year, Texans show their support through a |
|
variety of activities around the state; and |
|
WHEREAS, The Methodist Dallas Medical Center event provides |
|
an opportunity for hospital staff and area residents to educate |
|
themselves about crime prevention and to reaffirm their commitment |
|
to making their community an even safer place in which to live and |
|
work; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commemorate the Methodist Dallas Medical Center |
|
National Night Out crime and drug prevention observance and extend |
|
to all those involved sincere best wishes for a productive and |
|
enjoyable event. |
