R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Members of the Texas Computer Education Association
  are gathering in Austin from February 2 through 6, 2015, for the
  35th annual TCEA Convention and Exposition; and
         WHEREAS, Established in 1980, TCEA is dedicated to improving
  teaching and learning through the integration of technology into
  prekindergarten through 12th grade classes; its membership
  includes administrators, teachers, students, and community leaders
  who are united by their shared purpose; and
         WHEREAS, TCEA contributes to Texas education by advocating
  for policies that support teachers and administrators; it offers
  many professional development courses for educators as well as
  scholarships for students pursuing a career in higher education;
  and
         WHEREAS, Technology is of ever-increasing importance to
  students in this information age, and the efforts of TCEA help to
  ensure that young Texans acquire the knowledge and skills necessary
  to build a brighter future; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby recognize the Texas Computer Education
  Association and extend to its members sincere wishes for continued
  success with their important work; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for TCEA as an expression of high regard by the Texas House
  of Representatives.
