R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends were deeply saddened by the
  untimely passing of George Michael Newsome of Groves on September
  1, 2014, at the age of 51; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Port Arthur on August 13, 1963, George
  Newsome lived in Groves for nearly three decades; he worked as a
  water reclamation superintendent for the City of Beaumont, and he
  served his professional community as a member of the Texas Water
  Utilities Association; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Newsome took great pleasure in going duck
  hunting with friends during his leisure time; a man of faith, he was
  also a valued congregant of the First Christian Church of Port
  Arthur; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Newsome enjoyed the love
  and support of his wife, Diane, and his children, Jessica,
  Michayla, and George; he also took great pride in his grandchild,
  Braylon; and
         WHEREAS, George Newsome won the affection of all who knew him
  with his kindness, hearty laugh, and positive attitude, and
  cherished memories of time spent in his company will long endure in
  the hearts of his loved ones; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature pay tribute to the memory of George Michael Newsome and
  extend sincere condolences to his family: to his wife, Diane
  Newsome; to his daughters, Jessica McAnally and her husband, Jared,
  and Michayla Newsome and her boyfriend, Chance Davis; to his son,
  George Michael Newsome Jr.; to his grandchild, Braylon McAnally; to
  his mother, Gail Kidd Bertrand; to his father, Stanley Newsome, and
  his wife, Martha; to his sisters, Theresa Donaghy and her husband,
  John, and Ginger Newsome; to his brother, William Newsome; and to
  his many other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of George
  Michael Newsome.
