R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The certain knowledge of a life well lived may help
  to comfort those saddened by the death of Charles Fisher White of
  Baytown on December 1, 2014, at the age of 84; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Ingleside on October 21, 1930, to William
  and Viola White, Charles White grew up in Baytown, where he
  continued to reside for the rest of his life; a graduate of Robert
  E. Lee High School, he earned a business degree from The University
  of Texas; in 1955, he founded White Supply Company, which he
  operated until his retirement in 1990; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. White was an active member of the Rotary Club of
  Baytown for more than 50 years; recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow
  by the organization, he was further honored when the club
  established a Service Above Self scholarship in his name; in his
  leisure time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and taking photographs,
  and he was especially fond of sharing stories and jokes; and
         WHEREAS, For nearly six decades, Mr. White enjoyed the love
  and support of his wife, the former Shirley Stassi; they were the
  proud parents of three children, Lu Ann, Mark, and Matthew, and in
  later years, Mr. White delighted in the company of his seven
  grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Charles White treasured the time he spent in the
  company of his family and friends, and those he leaves behind will
  in turn cherish their memories of this kind and caring man; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature pay tribute to the life of Charles Fisher White and
  extend sincere condolences to his family: to his daughter, Lu Ann
  Shank, and her husband, Mark; to his sons, Mark White and his wife,
  Karen, and Matthew White and his wife, Stacey; to his
  grandchildren, Katie, Aden, and Christian Shank and Sara, Samantha,
  Cullen, and Avery White; to his nieces and nephews, Ann Landolt,
  Alison Cotton, Stacy and Michael Dienst, Bill and Greg White, Robyn
  Halbrook, Stephen Wood, and Michelle Mouck; and to his other
  relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Charles
  Fisher White.
