R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout is an achievement shared by |
|
|
only a select few, and the attainment of this significant honor by |
|
|
Jarrod L. Riggins of Georgetown heralds a future bright with |
|
|
opportunity and promise; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has mastered a number of |
|
|
important skills in his quest to become an Eagle Scout; he has |
|
|
earned 38 merit badges requiring expertise in such diverse areas as |
|
|
first aid, personal fitness, and environmental science, and he has |
|
|
gained experience in leadership and teamwork while undertaking an |
|
|
Eagle Scout project, which involved constructing a wooden kiosk at |
|
|
Champion Park; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A valued member of Boy Scout Troop No. 405, |
|
|
Mr. Riggins has served his peers as a leader, participating in over |
|
|
100 days and nights of camping, and he has served his community by |
|
|
taking part in 66 service projects; in so doing, he has exemplified |
|
|
the many positive traits for which Boy Scouts are renowned; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In fulfilling the rigorous requirements for |
|
|
attaining the Eagle Scout insignia, Jarrod Riggins has demonstrated |
|
|
an unwavering commitment to the Boy Scouts organization and its |
|
|
ideals, and the knowledge and confidence he has acquired along the |
|
|
way will indeed serve him well in the years to come; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Eagle Scout Jarrod L. Riggins on |
|
|
achieving this prestigious rank and extend to him sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Riggins as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
