R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, After 57 years of cutting hair, Manuel Lozano Sr. of
  Georgetown retired from City Barber Shop on December 24, 2014; and
         WHEREAS, A native Texan, Mr. Lozano served with the United
  States Marine Corps in the Korean War, and after coming home he
  worked in construction; desiring a job that didn't depend on the
  weather, he learned how to cut hair in Houston and then took on the
  job of military barber at Fort Hood; eventually, he returned to
  Georgetown and opened his own barbershop on Ninth and Rock Streets;
  and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Lozano joined City Barber Shop 17 years ago and
  earned the loyalty of many customers during his time there; he
  enjoyed getting to know his clients and delighted in being able to
  brighten someone's day by giving them a quality haircut; before
  retiring, he gave his last haircut to his seven-year-old grandson,
  Kaden; and
         WHEREAS, Blessed with a fine family, Mr. Lozano is the
  devoted husband of Virginia Lozano and the proud father of four
  children; now that he has stepped away from his barber's chair, he
  is looking forward to spending more time with his loved ones and to
  getting some well-deserved rest and relaxation; and
         WHEREAS, Manuel Lozano's dedication to his work and
  commitment to excellence have greatly benefited his patrons over
  the years, and he may indeed reflect with pride on his nearly
  six-decades-long career in the barber's profession; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Manuel Lozano Sr. on his retirement
  from City Barber Shop and extend to him sincere best wishes for the
  future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Lozano as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
