R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Tanner Miller of Gilmer has earned great distinction |
|
in 2014 as a member of the Upshur County 4-H program; and |
|
WHEREAS, The son of Coy and Jodie Miller and a freshman at |
|
Union Grove High School, Mr. Miller captured several Grand Champion |
|
and Reserve Champion titles in the Brangus, Braford, and other |
|
categories at livestock shows across Texas, Oklahoma, and |
|
Louisiana; in addition to enjoying outstanding success during the |
|
2014 show season, he received the prestigious 4-H Gold Star Award at |
|
the District 5 Gold Star Banquet in October; and |
|
WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has been involved in the |
|
Upshur County 4-H club for the past seven years, and he currently |
|
serves as county council president and as a 4-H teen leader in the |
|
Mountaineers 4-H, Upshur 4-H Shotgunners, and Diana Busy Bees 4-H |
|
clubs; outside of his 4-H activities, Tanner is an active member of |
|
the Union Grove FFA Chapter, has played football at Union Grove High |
|
School and is active in his church youth group; and |
|
WHEREAS, Through his accomplishments and his dedication to |
|
the ideals of the organization, Tanner Miller has earned the |
|
respect and admiration of his fellow 4-H members, and he is indeed |
|
deserving of special recognition; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Tanner Miller on his many |
|
achievements in 4-H and that he be extended sincere best wishes for |
|
continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Miller as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
