R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in
  El Paso is hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Gayle Greve
  Hunt School of Nursing facility on February 3, 2015; and
         WHEREAS, Established in 2010, GGHSON was made possible by a
  generous donation from the Hunt Family Foundation; the first class
  was admitted in 2011, and today, under the able guidance of founding
  dean Jeanne Novotny, the institution offers both a traditional
  bachelor's degree in nursing as well as an innovative RN to BSN
  program; and
         WHEREAS, The 90 students currently enrolled at the school
  will be the first of many to benefit from the new state-of-the-art
  building, which features a 12,000-square-foot simulation lab, four
  classrooms, and collaborative learning spaces; and
         WHEREAS, GGHSON represents a major investment in the future
  of health care in El Paso, and it is truly a welcome addition to the
  community; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby commemorate the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the
  new Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing facility at Texas Tech
  University Health Sciences Center and extend to all those
  associated with the institution sincere best wishes for the future;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the school as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
