R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Alyssa Little of Keller has attained the Girl Scout
  Gold Award, the organization's highest commendation; and
         WHEREAS, To earn this distinction, Ms. Little, of Troop
  No. 3371, successfully met a series of requirements emphasizing
  community service, personal and spiritual growth, positive values,
  and leadership skills; in addition, she planned and implemented a
  Girl Scout Gold Award project that involved building a 6-by-15-foot
  storage unit for the Keller High School color guard team; she
  devoted more than 84 hours to the completion of this project and
  developed a keen understanding of the importance of time
  management, the benefits of business relationships, and the value
  of giving back; and
         WHEREAS, By encouraging young women to build confidence,
  explore career opportunities, and become more socially conscious,
  the Girl Scout program is helping its participants to achieve their
  greatest potential as engaged citizens and leaders; and
         WHEREAS, The maturity and dedication that Ms. Little has
  demonstrated in pursuit of her goals truly exemplify the highest
  ideals of the Girl Scout organization, and she indeed merits
  special recognition for her achievement; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Alyssa Little on earning the Girl
  Scout Gold Award and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
  success and happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Little as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
