R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Paul and Norma Jean Swanson of Waco |
|
|
celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on November 6, 2014; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Paul Swanson and the former Norma Jean Taylor were |
|
|
united in matrimony at First Lutheran Church in 1954; through the |
|
|
years, their family has grown to include their children Stephen |
|
|
Swanson and his wife, Rhonda, and Eric Swanson and his fiancée, |
|
|
Terri Clark, as well as their grandchildren, Justin Swanson and his |
|
|
wife, Ashley, and Forrest Swanson; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. and Mrs. |
|
|
Swanson are both retired and are active in the congregation of St. |
|
|
Matthew Lutheran Church; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past six |
|
|
decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant in |
|
|
their commitment to each other, and the strength of their love has |
|
|
enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace |
|
|
and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Paul and Norma Jean Swanson on |
|
|
their 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Swanson as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
