R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
  mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Ray and Mary Sue del
  Llano of Midland celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage
  on April 11, 2014; and
         WHEREAS, Ramon del Llano and the former Mary Sue Croll were
  joined in matrimony in 1964 at a ceremony held in Washington, D.C.,
  where the groom was stationed with the U.S. Army and the bride
  worked as a legal secretary; through the years, they have been
  blessed with a treasured family that includes three daughters and
  their spouses, Ann Elizabeth del Llano, Deborah Jean and Andres
  Stewart, and Marcia and Brent Crowder, as well as five
  grandchildren, Olivia, Elena, Andres Ramon, Levi, and Sierra; and
         WHEREAS, Residents of Midland since 1970, Mr. del Llano
  worked as a draftsman for Arco Oil and Gas for 30 years and was also
  employed with Ref-Chem and Community and Senior Services, while
  Mrs. del Llano is retired from a career that included nine years as
  an executive assistant with Meridian Oil; in addition to meeting
  their work and family responsibilities, they have been valued
  members of St. Luke's United Methodist Church for 44 years, serving
  their fellow congregants in such roles as Sunday school teachers
  and youth counselors; and
         WHEREAS, Together this compassionate pair have volunteered
  with such worthy endeavors as Safe Place of the Permian Basin,
  Parents Anonymous of Midland-Odessa, Meals on Wheels, the local
  chamber of commerce, and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program; in
  their leisure, they enjoy traveling, walking their dogs, and
  watching movies; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. del Llano have enjoyed five decades of
  abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an
  exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
  commitment; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Ray and Mary Sue del Llano on their
  golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
  for continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. del Llano as an expression of high regard
  by the Texas House of Representatives.
