R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The members of the Top Gears robotics team at the
  Harmony Science Academy of Laredo have earned well-deserved
  recognition for their outstanding performance in FIRST LEGO League
  competition in 2015; and
         WHEREAS, The team was awarded first place honors at the FIRST
  LEGO League Qualifier held on January 24 at Gutierrez Middle School
  in Harlingen, where it competed in robot design, project, core
  values, and robot game events; with its triumph, the Top Gears group
  earned the right to represent its school at the FLL National
  Super-Regional, to be held in March at the Henry B. Gonzalez
  Convention Center in San Antonio; and
         WHEREAS, The Top Gears robotics team is composed of
  sixth-grade students who work together to build and program robots,
  while at the same time developing their project research and
  management skills; team members include Jesus Guajardo, Jose
  Calderon, Nikole Munson, Jovana Ramos, Miguel Cisneros, Roger
  Caballero, David Chavez, Matthew Dunivant, and Mauricio Mendoza;
  and
         WHEREAS, Through their involvement in robotics, these
  talented young Texans have demonstrated great initiative and
  ability, and they may indeed look forward to a future bright with
  promise; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate the Harmony Science Academy Top
  Gears robotics team on its success in FIRST LEGO League qualifying
  competition and extend to all those associated with the team
  sincere best wishes for continued achievement; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
