R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Jerry and Brenda Leighton of Point celebrated their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary on November 1, 2014, and they may indeed |
|
|
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, On that memorable day in 1964, Mr. and Mrs. Leighton |
|
|
exchanged the vows of matrimony in Mesquite, and over the course of |
|
|
their marriage, they have found in each other a loving life partner; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Leighton count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes their children, Kim and Rob, as well as |
|
|
their five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, with whom |
|
|
they treasure spending many special occasions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For half a century, Jerry and Brenda Leighton have |
|
|
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it |
|
|
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jerry and Brenda Leighton on their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
