R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |
|
|
mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Charles and Beverly |
|
|
Tabor of Mineola celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage |
|
|
on August 22, 2014; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Tabor were joined in matrimony in 1964 |
|
|
at a ceremony held at the First Methodist Church in Mesquite; |
|
|
through the years, they have been blessed with a treasured family |
|
|
that includes their children, Shawn Tabor and his wife, Lori, and |
|
|
Joshua Tabor and his wife, Amanda, as well as their grandchildren, |
|
|
Cole, Cambell, and Braxton; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Valued residents of the Mineola community, |
|
|
Mr. Tabor was a math teacher for 32 years, and Mrs. Tabor was a |
|
|
school counselor and elementary school teacher for 31 years; they |
|
|
both retired in 1997, and since then, Mr. Tabor has spent his |
|
|
leisure time playing golf while Mrs. Tabor has engaged in volunteer |
|
|
work and gardening, and they both delight in visiting with their |
|
|
loved ones; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Tabor have enjoyed five decades of |
|
|
abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an |
|
|
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|
|
commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Charles and Beverly Tabor on their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Tabor as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
