R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Jimmy and Gay Roy of Mount Pleasant celebrated their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary on August 22, 2014, and they may indeed |
|
|
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Jimmy Roy and the former Gay Moore met at Mount |
|
|
Pleasant High School, and they exchanged the vows of matrimony when |
|
|
they were still in their teens in 1964; over the course of their |
|
|
marriage, they have found in each other a loving life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Roy count among their blessings a fine |
|
|
family that includes four children, Jeff, Stefanie, Stacie, and |
|
|
Tracie, with whom they treasure sharing many special occasions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For half a century, Jimmy and Gay Roy have brought to |
|
|
their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it is a |
|
|
pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jimmy and Gay Roy on their golden |
|
|
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Roy as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
