R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A life made rich through meaningful service and
  accomplishment drew to a close with the passing of Bill W. Morgan of
  Mineola on August 9, 2014, at the age of 85; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Morgan was born in Union Valley on August 8,
  1929; he joined the United States Air Force in 1948 and courageously
  flew on 65 combat missions in the Korean War as a gunner on a B-29
  bomber; after 12 years, he completed his service and returned to
  civilian life, working as a firefighter in Greenville until 1980;
  he went on to open his own real estate business, first in Greenville
  and later in the Quitman and Mineola areas, before finally retiring
  in his late 70s; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Morgan was blessed with
  the love and support of his wife of 62 years, Betty; he was the proud
  father of two children, Gary and Jan, and he knew the joy of seeing
  his family grow to include four grandchildren; a man of abiding
  faith, he was a valued member of the First Baptist Church in
  Quitman; and
         WHEREAS, Although Bill Morgan will be deeply missed,
  cherished memories of time spent in his company will long endure in
  the hearts of those he leaves behind; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Bill W. Morgan and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
  Betty Morgan; to his children, Gary Morgan and his wife, Deena, and
  Jan Robertson and her husband, Mike; to his grandchildren, Christin
  Morgan, Haley Dezelle and her husband, Joe, Bradi-Kathryn Morgan,
  and Madison Morgan; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Bill
  Morgan.
