R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, The affinity and deep respect Genc Mulliqi has for
  all things pertinent to the Lone Star State make it a pleasure to
  bestow on him the title of honorary Texan; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Kosovo in 1984, "Gino" Mulliqi is the
  firstborn child of Agim and Sabrije Mulliqi and the older brother of
  Gazmend Mulliqi; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Mulliqi came to the United States at 17 years of
  age, as a foreign exchange student; he graduated from Paisley High
  School in Paisley, Oregon, in 2002 and went on to receive a degree
  from Hunter College in New York in 2008; and
         WHEREAS, Following his graduation, Mr. Mulliqi found success
  in the telecommunications industry, working as a regional sales
  manager for Verizon; he left his job in telecommunications at the
  end of 2013 and opened Napolis Italian Restaurant in Wylie soon
  after; and
         WHEREAS, In all of his endeavors, Mr. Mulliqi enjoys the love
  and support of his wife, Bienna; the couple were recently blessed
  when their family grew to include a treasured son, Gert Mulliqi; and
         WHEREAS, Although he was not born under Texas skies, Gino
  Mulliqi possesses many attributes that make him a credit to any
  community, and it is altogether fitting that he be welcomed and
  embraced as a devoted citizen of this state; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby recognize Genc "Gino" Mulliqi as an honorary
  Texan and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued good
  fortune and happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That this resolution serve as formal proof of
  Mr. Mulliqi's new status.
