R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |
|
of Carrol Treadaway of Mineola, who passed away on July 20, 2014, at |
|
the age of 82; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born on February 14, 1932, in Plainview, Oklahoma, |
|
Mr. Treadaway was the son of Carl and Cora Treadaway; a longtime |
|
resident of Mineola, he owned the Petroleum Service Company and was |
|
a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mineola; and |
|
WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Treadaway enjoyed the love |
|
and support of his wife of 53 years, Jeanette; the devoted father of |
|
a daughter, Phyllis, he was also the stepfather of Kent Burks, Gayle |
|
Divelbiss, and the late Neil Burks and Gary Divelbiss, and he |
|
further welcomed two more generations into his family as a proud |
|
grandfather; and |
|
WHEREAS, Carrol Treadaway led a life that was rich in the |
|
intangibles that matter most, and he is deeply missed by all those |
|
who held him dear; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Carrol Treadaway |
|
and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his |
|
wife, Jeanette Treadaway; to his daughter, Phyllis Riley; to his |
|
stepchildren, Kent Burks and Gayle Divelbiss; to his 8 |
|
grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and to his other |
|
relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Carrol |
|
Treadaway. |
