R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Buster and Mary H. Walker of Mt. Pleasant |
|
|
celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary on December 5, 2014, and |
|
|
they may indeed reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they |
|
|
have shared; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Walker exchanged the vows of matrimony |
|
|
in Titus County in 1942, while Mr. Walker was on leave from the |
|
|
coast guard, and over the course of their marriage, they have found |
|
|
in each other a loving life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Walker count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes their four children, Billy Walker, Bobby |
|
|
Walker, Cher Underwood, and John Walker, as well as nine |
|
|
grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, with whom they |
|
|
treasure sharing many special occasions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For more than seven decades, Buster and Mary Walker |
|
|
have brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, |
|
|
and it is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Buster and Mary H. Walker on their |
|
|
72nd wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
