R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, The second annual St. Paul's "Holy Smoke" BBQ
  Cook-Off and Music Festival is taking place in Mission on March 6
  and 7, 2015; and
         WHEREAS, Presented by Knights of Columbus Council 2698 of
  St. Paul's Catholic Church, the "Holy Smoke" BBQ Cook-Off is an
  International Barbeque Cookers Association championship event; the
  occasion combines good music and good eating, with proceeds going
  to fund scholarships for area youth; and
         WHEREAS, Talented barbecue chefs from throughout the Lone
  Star State are competing to see who can cook up the tastiest
  brisket, pork spareribs, and chicken, along with beans, fajitas,
  pan de campo, and desserts; cash prizes will be awarded to the
  first-, second-, and third-place finishers in each category; the
  event also features music, arts and crafts vendors, and other fun
  attractions; and
         WHEREAS, The St. Paul's "Holy Smoke" BBQ Cook-Off offers an
  exciting time for individuals of all ages, and this celebration of
  Texas-style food and music is all the more noteworthy for the
  scholarship assistance it provides to students in furthering their
  educations; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby commemorate the second annual St. Paul's "Holy
  Smoke" BBQ Cook-Off and Music Festival and extend sincere best
  wishes to the event's participants and organizers for an enjoyable
  and rewarding experience.
