R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Blue Skies of Texas in San Antonio has long helped to |
|
provide quality retirement living for our nation's veterans and |
|
their families; and |
|
WHEREAS, Originally named Air Force Village, this nonprofit |
|
retirement community opened its first campus in 1970 and added a |
|
second location in 1987; through the decades, it has provided |
|
retired military officers and the spouses of deceased veterans with |
|
senior-focused living facilities and a diverse array of health care |
|
services designed to meet any need, including skilled nursing, |
|
rehabilitation, memory care, and hospice; and |
|
WHEREAS, In 2014, the establishment was rebranded Blue Skies |
|
of Texas and expanded its mission to include all former military |
|
personnel as well as civilian seniors; and |
|
WHEREAS, Americans owe a profound debt of gratitude to the |
|
men and women of the United States armed forces and their families |
|
for the immeasurable sacrifices they make in this country's behalf, |
|
and Blue Skies of Texas is committed to ensuring that they receive |
|
the assistance and support that they so richly deserve; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Blue Skies of Texas for its outstanding |
|
service to retired military veterans and their families and extend |
|
to all those associated with the enterprise sincere best wishes for |
|
the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Blue Skies of Texas as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
