R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Judge A. Robert Hinojosa of Houston has admirably
  served his country, his state, and his community as a leader and
  judge; and
         WHEREAS, Judge Hinojosa has deep roots in Texas as a ninth
  generation Texan and fifth generation Houstonian; and
         WHEREAS, Judge Hinojosa bravely served his country as a Judge
  Advocate in the U.S. Air Force, including 1968 at DaNang Air Base in
  the Republic of Vietnam, where he was awarded the Bronze Star for
  Meritorious Service the same year; and
         WHEREAS, Judge Hinojosa experienced a prolific career in
  Family Law for several decades; and
         WHEREAS, Judge Hinojosa proudly served as the judge for the
  308th Family District Court in Harris County in 1994 and the judge
  for the 312th Family District Court in Harris County 2008; and
         WHEREAS, The City of Houston Municipal Courts were lucky to
  have Judge Hinojosa serving as an Associate Judge from 1999 until
  2008; and
         WHEREAS, Since retirement, Judge Hinojosa remains dedicated
  to judicial service where he has served on the Judicial
  Qualifications Committees, the Speakers Bureau, and the Senior
  Lawyers Committee of the Houston Bar Association; and
         WHEREAS, Judge Hinojosa is an active member of his parish
  church, Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Judge Robert Hinojosa enjoys
  the love and support of his wife, Patricia Anderson Hinojosa, and
  they take great pride in their family, which includes two children,
  Victoria Lara Hinojosa and Alejandra Rebecca Hinojosa; and
         WHEREAS, Judge A. Robert Hinojosa has left an unmistakable
  mark on the State of Texas and Harris County and continues to serve
  as a positive influence on all who know him; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby honor Judge Arthur Robert Hinojosa for his many
  years of service to his country and the State of Texas and extend to
  him sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Judge Hinojosa as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
