R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Residents of Rio Bravo are gathering in Austin on
  February 18, 2015, for Rio Bravo Day at the State Capitol; and
         WHEREAS, Established in 1982, Rio Bravo has undergone a host
  of positive changes over the past 33 years; it has transformed from
  a colonia into an organized town of more than 4,800 residents thanks
  to the diligent efforts of local public servants; and
         WHEREAS, Rio Bravo is home to a park and a community center,
  and the educational needs of the community's children are met by
  several schools of the United Independent School District,
  including D. D. Hachar and Juarez-Lincoln Elementary Schools and
  Salvador Garcia Middle School; and
         WHEREAS, Under the leadership of newly elected mayor
  Dr. Francisco Peña, the people of Rio Bravo may look forward to
  building upon past accomplishments to create a secure and
  prosperous future as they take on the challenges and opportunities
  of the 21st century; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby recognize February 18, 2015, as Rio Bravo Day at
  the State Capitol and extend to the members of the delegation
  sincere best wishes for an enjoyable and informative visit to
  Austin.
