R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Regina Boutte retired from the Spring Independent |
|
School District in January 2015, following nearly a quarter-century |
|
of outstanding service; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Boutte began her career in education in 1991, |
|
when she joined the faculty at Bammel Elementary School; she taught |
|
there for several years and later became an assistant principal at |
|
Oak Creek Elementary and Heritage Elementary Schools; she served as |
|
principal at Thompson Elementary School from 2001 to 2004 before |
|
taking over as Spring ISD's associate superintendent of public |
|
relations, community engagement, and quality improvement; she had |
|
most recently held the titles of chief communications officer and |
|
chief of special projects for Spring ISD; and |
|
WHEREAS, Throughout her remarkable tenure, Ms. Boutte worked |
|
diligently to foster a supportive and challenging learning |
|
environment within Spring ISD schools; in the process, she earned |
|
the admiration and respect of students and colleagues alike; and |
|
WHEREAS, Regina Boutte has demonstrated exemplary leadership |
|
and dedication during her 24 years as an educator, and her |
|
contributions to Spring ISD have had a positive and lasting |
|
influence on the lives of countless students; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Regina Boutte on her retirement |
|
from the Spring ISD and extend to her sincere best wishes for |
|
continued success; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Boutte as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
