R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Charles Christian served his fellow citizens with
  distinction as Republican Party caucus chair for House District 67;
  and
         WHEREAS, Deeply committed to civic life, Mr. Christian led
  get-out-the-vote drives in the district; he also acted as a liaison
  between the party's local precinct chairs and their representative
  in Austin; and
         WHEREAS, The endeavors of the caucus chair are integral to
  the party's mission to elect public servants who will build a better
  state and nation for today's citizenry and for generations to come;
  and
         WHEREAS, Because public policy affects our daily lives,
  individuals must exercise their right to vote, and the caucus chair
  plays an important role in the election process; the chair's
  efforts to inspire voters to support the party's candidates are
  part of a proud and vital political tradition; and
         WHEREAS, In honoring this dedicated volunteer, we recognize
  an outstanding Texan who has devoted his time and energy toward
  promoting the Republican Party goals of limited government, free
  enterprise, personal liberty, and strong national security; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Charles Christian for his exemplary
  service as House District 67 Republican Party caucus chair and
  extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Christian as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
