R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Plano Republican Women has supported endeavors to |
|
|
build the Republican Party at the local, state, and national levels |
|
|
for more than 50 years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Founded in 1962, the Plano Republican Women's Club |
|
|
was the first organization of its kind in Collin County, and its |
|
|
members are dedicated to advancing conservative principles and |
|
|
helping Republicans win elected office; they also work to promote |
|
|
the standing of women by encouraging their involvement with |
|
|
political matters; through grassroots activism and a wide range of |
|
|
experiences, opinions, and cultures, the group is helping to |
|
|
develop leaders and is creating continued momentum for change; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Dedicated to their convictions, members of Plano |
|
|
Republican Women may reflect with pride on their achievements as |
|
|
they work to see women from all age groups and walks of life become |
|
|
key players at the political table; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby recognize the members of Plano Republican Women |
|
|
and commend them for their civic engagement; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
