R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, The Marble Falls Air Evac 49 Lifeteam reached an |
|
|
impressive milestone in July 2014 by flying its 5,000th patient; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Originally started as Critical Air in 2001, the |
|
|
company became part of the Air Evac Lifeteam national air ambulance |
|
|
service in April 2005; it provides rapid access to health care for |
|
|
critically ill or injured patients in the Marble Falls area; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Air Evac 49 currently flies a Bell 206L3 helicopter, |
|
|
and crews are on duty 24 hours a day; each flight includes a pilot, a |
|
|
flight nurse, and a flight paramedic, and together, these skilled |
|
|
professionals can respond quickly to emergencies or transport |
|
|
patients from one medical facility to another; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For more than a decade, Air Evac 49 has provided an |
|
|
essential service to its community with skill, dedication, and |
|
|
compassion, and the company's expert staff may indeed take pride in |
|
|
their achievement as they celebrate this milestone; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the Marble Falls Air Evac 49 |
|
|
Lifeteam for transporting more than 5,000 patients and that the |
|
|
team's pilots and health care professionals be extended sincere |
|
|
best wishes for continued success in their important work; and, be |
|
|
it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Marble Falls Air Evac 49 Lifeteam as an expression of |
|
|
high regard by the Texas House of Representatives. |
