R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Members of the Texas Christian University student |
|
|
body and the TCU Student Government Association have traveled from |
|
|
Fort Worth to Austin to visit the State Capitol on February 24, |
|
|
2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The TCU Student Government Association acts as the |
|
|
voice of the student body, providing an effective channel through |
|
|
which students express concerns and offer suggestions to the |
|
|
university administration; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The organization advocates on behalf of |
|
|
approximately 10,000 individuals enrolled at TCU and works to |
|
|
ensure that their views are reflected in policies implemented by |
|
|
the university; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Accompanying this notable group is the chancellor of |
|
|
the university, Dr. Victor J. Boschini Jr.; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, TCU is an outstanding university with an exceptional |
|
|
student body, and its Student Government Association works to |
|
|
benefit all TCU students as they develop a solid educational |
|
|
foundation for future achievement; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Texas Christian University students and |
|
|
the TCU Student Government Association and extend to all TCU |
|
|
representatives here today sincere best wishes for an enjoyable and |
|
|
informative day in Austin; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the association as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
