R E S O L U T I O N

|
WHEREAS, Georgetown economic development director Mark |
|
|
Thomas has deservedly been selected for the Owen Sherrill Lifetime |
|
|
Achievement Award by the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, and this |
|
|
achievement indeed merits special recognition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A city employee for more than a decade, Mr. Thomas |
|
|
is a fitting recipient of this notable honor; chosen for his |
|
|
longtime commitment to the promotion of economic development in |
|
|
Georgetown, he has been instrumental in bringing several new |
|
|
companies to the area, as well as successfully retaining |
|
|
established businesses; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Those individuals who give generously of their time |
|
|
and talents strengthen the communities in which they live, and it is |
|
|
a pleasure to recognize Mark Thomas for his contributions to the |
|
|
greater good; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Mark Thomas on receiving the Owen |
|
|
Sherrill Lifetime Achievement Award and extend to him sincere best |
|
|
wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Thomas as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
