R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, First Texas Bank has deservedly been named the
  winner of the Martha Diaz Hurtado College Town Award from the
  Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, and this achievement indeed merits
  special recognition; and
         WHEREAS, Named for longtime Southwestern University employee
  Martha Diaz Hurtado, the College Town Award was created in 2006 to
  recognize citizens, organizations, or businesses that have
  enhanced the "college town" environment for students, faculty, and
  staff at SU, and First Texas Bank is a fitting recipient of this
  notable honor; and
         WHEREAS, In addition to providing jobs and valuable services
  to the region, First Texas Bank has helped to strengthen the
  Georgetown community, and it is a pleasure to recognize the
  business for its contributions to the greater good; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate First Texas Bank on its receipt of
  the Martha Diaz Hurtado College Town Award from the Georgetown
  Chamber of Commerce and extend to all those associated with the bank
  sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for First Texas Bank as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
