R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, First Texas Bank has deservedly been named the |
|
|
winner of the Martha Diaz Hurtado College Town Award from the |
|
|
Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, and this achievement indeed merits |
|
|
special recognition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Named for longtime Southwestern University employee |
|
|
Martha Diaz Hurtado, the College Town Award was created in 2006 to |
|
|
recognize citizens, organizations, or businesses that have |
|
|
enhanced the "college town" environment for students, faculty, and |
|
|
staff at SU, and First Texas Bank is a fitting recipient of this |
|
|
notable honor; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In addition to providing jobs and valuable services |
|
|
to the region, First Texas Bank has helped to strengthen the |
|
|
Georgetown community, and it is a pleasure to recognize the |
|
|
business for its contributions to the greater good; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate First Texas Bank on its receipt of |
|
|
the Martha Diaz Hurtado College Town Award from the Georgetown |
|
|
Chamber of Commerce and extend to all those associated with the bank |
|
|
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for First Texas Bank as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
