R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Captain Gary Boshears was honored as Officer of the |
|
|
Year of the Granite Shoals Police Department at the Hill Country 100 |
|
|
Club Membership/Awards Banquet on January 15, 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Founded in 2002, the Hill Country 100 Club provides |
|
|
valuable support to first responders in Central Texas; each year, |
|
|
the organization's awards banquet honors outstanding peace |
|
|
officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, and support |
|
|
staff in Burnet, Llano, Blanco, and Lampasas Counties; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Captain Boshears followed in his father's footsteps |
|
|
and began pursuing a career in law enforcement at the age of 18; he |
|
|
has served with the Granite Shoals Police Department for the past |
|
|
nine years, and he was promoted to his current rank in 2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through his dedication to duty, Gary Boshears |
|
|
exemplifies the highest ideals of his profession and contributes |
|
|
immeasurably to the safety and well-being of his fellow citizens; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Captain Gary Boshears on his |
|
|
selection as the Hill Country 100 Club Officer of the Year for the |
|
|
Granite Shoals Police Department and extend to him sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success with his important work; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Captain Boshears as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
