R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Captain Gary Boshears was honored as Officer of the
  Year of the Granite Shoals Police Department at the Hill Country 100
  Club Membership/Awards Banquet on January 15, 2015; and
         WHEREAS, Founded in 2002, the Hill Country 100 Club provides
  valuable support to first responders in Central Texas; each year,
  the organization's awards banquet honors outstanding peace
  officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, and support
  staff in Burnet, Llano, Blanco, and Lampasas Counties; and
         WHEREAS, Captain Boshears followed in his father's footsteps
  and began pursuing a career in law enforcement at the age of 18; he
  has served with the Granite Shoals Police Department for the past
  nine years, and he was promoted to his current rank in 2013; and
         WHEREAS, Through his dedication to duty, Gary Boshears
  exemplifies the highest ideals of his profession and contributes
  immeasurably to the safety and well-being of his fellow citizens;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Captain Gary Boshears on his
  selection as the Hill Country 100 Club Officer of the Year for the
  Granite Shoals Police Department and extend to him sincere best
  wishes for continued success with his important work; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Captain Boshears as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
