R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Denton Wills Jr. was honored as Officer of the Year
  of the Burnet County Sheriff's Office Special Operations Unit at
  the Hill Country 100 Club Membership/Awards Banquet on January 15,
  2015; and
         WHEREAS, Founded in 2002, the Hill Country 100 Club provides
  valuable support to first responders in Central Texas; each year,
  the organization's awards banquet honors outstanding peace
  officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, and support
  staff in Burnet, Llano, Blanco, and Lampasas Counties; and
         WHEREAS, A native of Burnet County, Denton Wills Jr. has more
  than two decades of experience in law enforcement; over the course
  of his career, he worked for the Burnet Police Department for eight
  years before joining the Burnet County Sheriff's Office, where he
  has distinguished himself as a member of the Special Operations
  Unit for the past five years; and
         WHEREAS, Through his dedication to duty, Denton Wills Jr.
  exemplifies the highest ideals of his profession and contributes
  immeasurably to the safety and well-being of his fellow citizens;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Denton Wills Jr. on his selection
  as the Hill Country 100 Club Officer of the Year for the Burnet
  County Sheriff's Office Special Operations Unit and extend to him
  sincere best wishes for continued success with his important work;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Officer Wills as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
