R E S O L U T I O N

|
WHEREAS, Members of the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists |
|
|
are gathering in Austin on March 31, 2015, to commemorate Texas |
|
|
Anesthesiologists Day at the State Capitol; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A component of the American Society of |
|
|
Anesthesiologists, the Texas organization was founded in 1936; it |
|
|
works to promote and support the medical specialty of |
|
|
anesthesiology, and its 3,300 members throughout the state benefit |
|
|
greatly from its continuing education programs and annual meetings; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through a network of committees, the Texas society |
|
|
allows members to participate in and make recommendations on |
|
|
numerous issues that are relevant to the profession, including |
|
|
scientific, administrative, and educational concerns; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, During Texas Anesthesiologists Day, the |
|
|
organization is offering life-saving CPR training to all |
|
|
legislators and Capitol staff; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Always emphasizing patient safety and care, the |
|
|
Texas Society of Anesthesiologists makes invaluable contributions |
|
|
to the health and well-being of Texans, and it indeed merits special |
|
|
recognition and praise; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby recognize March 31, 2015, as Texas |
|
|
Anesthesiologists Day at the State Capitol and commend the men and |
|
|
women of the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists for their important |
|
|
work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists as an |
|
|
expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives. |
