R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Berry "Butch" Crudgington received the Lifetime
  Achievement Award from the Brady Chamber of Commerce in 2015 for his
  highly successful tenure as the director of the Famed Brady Bulldog
  Band; and
         WHEREAS, An alumnus of Tarleton State University,
  Mr. Crudgington became the band director at Brady High School in
  1986; under the influence of his expert guidance, the Famed Brady
  Bulldog Band regularly marched in U.I.L. competitions, continuing
  its long tradition as one of the premier high school music programs
  in Texas; this respected educator led the band to numerous
  victories during the course of his career, including an
  extraordinary 21 consecutive Sweepstakes Awards; and
         WHEREAS, Dedicated to his students and to his community,
  Mr. Crudgington continued his exemplary work at Brady High School
  until his retirement in 2014, despite the determined efforts of
  many schools to lure him away; in addition to his responsibilities
  at the high school, he taught music classes at Central Texas
  College; and
         WHEREAS, Through his inspiring leadership and commitment to
  excellence, Butch Crudgington embodied the highest standards of his
  profession over the course of nearly three decades, and he has
  earned the respect and admiration of all who know him; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby honor Berry "Butch" Crudgington on his receipt
  of the 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Brady Chamber of
  Commerce and commend him for his many years of outstanding service
  as director of the Famed Brady Bulldog Band; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Crudgington as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
