R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The 36th annual Fiesta Mexicana Celebration is |
|
|
taking place on March 7 and 8, 2015, in Robstown; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Hosted by Saint Anthony de Padua Catholic Church in |
|
|
Robstown, this beloved community event features a parade complete |
|
|
with floats, youth marching bands, and custom cars and concludes |
|
|
with activities at the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For more than three and a half decades, Fiesta |
|
|
Mexicana has been a much-anticipated annual gathering in Nueces |
|
|
County, and the festival provides a welcome opportunity for area |
|
|
residents to join together in support of Saint Anthony de Padua |
|
|
Catholic Church; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commemorate the 36th annual Fiesta Mexicana in |
|
|
Robstown and extend best wishes for an enjoyable and successful |
|
|
event to the parishioners of Saint Anthony de Padua Catholic |
|
|
Church; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the church as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
