R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Gary
  Adrian of Austin, who passed away on February 8, 2015, at the age of
  65; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Leroy and Louise Adrian, Mr. Adrian was
  born on February 13, 1949; over the years, he resided in Roscoe,
  Cooper, Hale Center, Abilene, Lubbock, and Austin; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Adrian completed his bachelor's degree in
  biology and chemistry at Lubbock Christian College and went on to
  attend the College of Pharmacy at The University of Texas at
  Austin; he was employed by the Texas House of Representatives and
  served on the Governor's Energy Advisory Council; in the late
  1970s, he worked on the Texas Energy Conservation Plan at PLANERGY;
  subsequently, he was employed for three decades by the City of
  Austin Housing and Community Services Department, and he benefited
  his fellow citizens by preparing grants for the funding of
  affordable housing; and
         WHEREAS, An exceptionally kind, caring, and loyal
  individual, Mr. Adrian inspired all who were fortunate enough to
  know him through his courage and determination, and he will forever
  hold a special place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Gary Adrian and extend
  sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his wife of 31
  years, Carolyn Adrian; to his brother, Steve Adrian; to his sister,
  Kay Stence, and her husband, Don; to his nephews, Mike Stence and
  his wife, Nancy, and Mitch Stence and his wife, Kim; to his
  great-nephews and great-nieces, Zachary, Tyler, Payton, Riley, and
  Cassie Stence; to his cousins, Kimberly Hayes and her husband,
  Dale, Ross Hayes and his wife, Heather, and London Hayes; to his
  stepsister, Patti Warren Teuton, and her husband, Larry; to his
  step-nephews, Tyson Teuton, Collin Teuton and his wife, Marsha, and
  Garet Teuton; and to his many other relatives and friends; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas House
  of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Gary
  Adrian.
