R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Members of the Greater Houston Women's Chamber of |
|
|
Commerce governmental affairs committee are visiting the State |
|
|
Capitol on March 3, 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A nonprofit business association, the Greater |
|
|
Houston Women's Chamber of Commerce is made up of influential and |
|
|
diverse individuals dedicated to the advancement and empowerment of |
|
|
women; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In addition to meeting area businesswomen's needs |
|
|
for advocacy and mentoring, the chamber offers scholarships to |
|
|
promising students and supports a variety of worthwhile |
|
|
initiatives, including a regular preventative-health series column |
|
|
in the Houston Chronicle; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Greater Houston Women's Chamber of Commerce has |
|
|
become a vital resource for area professional women, and its |
|
|
efforts are helping to spur economic growth throughout the Bayou |
|
|
City; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby welcome the governmental affairs committee |
|
|
members of the Greater Houston Women's Chamber of Commerce to the |
|
|
State Capitol and extend to them sincere best wishes for an |
|
|
informative and enjoyable visit to Austin; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
