R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Leticia Uribe Ruiz of Robstown passed away on |
|
January 29, 2015, at the age of 62, leaving her circle of family and |
|
friends to cherish their many happy memories of time spent in her |
|
company; and |
|
WHEREAS, Leticia Uribe was born on September 12, 1952, in |
|
Robstown to Sigifredo Uribe Sr. and Aurora Rodriguez; she married |
|
Tomas Ruiz, with whom she shared many rewarding years of marriage; |
|
she was devoted to her two children, Gerardo and Michelle, and she |
|
later knew the joy of welcoming four grandchildren, Christopher, |
|
Eathan, Zuriel, and Sonia, into her cherished family; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Ruiz enjoyed a career with the Robstown |
|
Independent School District that spanned three and a half decades, |
|
and she was serving as a physical education teacher at the time of |
|
her passing; moreover, she contributed to her professional |
|
community as a member of the Association of Texas Professional |
|
Educators; and |
|
WHEREAS, A woman of deep faith, Mrs. Ruiz was a valued |
|
parishioner of St. Anthony's Catholic Church; and |
|
WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have shared in the love |
|
and friendship of Leticia Ruiz will forever remember her with great |
|
admiration and affection; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Leticia Uribe Ruiz |
|
and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her |
|
husband, Tomas Ruiz; to her son, Gerardo Ruiz; to her daughter, |
|
Michelle Ruiz, and her husband, Lauro; to her grandchildren, Sonia |
|
Hernandez and Christopher, Eathan, and Zuriel Ruiz; to her sisters, |
|
Sally Hernandez, Leonarda Almaraz, Carmen Salazar and her husband, |
|
Ruben, and Oralia Marroquin and her husband, Joe; to her brothers, |
|
Sigifredo Uribe Jr. and his wife, Geneva, and Oscar Uribe and his |
|
wife, Ruth; and to her other relatives and many friends; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Leticia |
|
Uribe Ruiz. |
