R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Richard Meyer was named 2014 Man of the Year by the |
|
|
Port Lavaca Chamber of Commerce; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Meyer was a longtime cattle rancher in Calhoun |
|
|
County, and he is currently a cattle consultant for several clients |
|
|
in the area; he gives generously of his time and talents in behalf |
|
|
of many community activities and organizations, serving as |
|
|
president of the Calhoun County Cattleman's Association and as a |
|
|
member of the Calhoun County Rodeo Association; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan also works diligently in behalf |
|
|
of the youth of Calhoun County, participating in the Calhoun County |
|
|
Youth Rodeo Association and the annual Calhoun County Youth |
|
|
Livestock Show; moreover, he is a volunteer at Hospice of South |
|
|
Texas; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through his many worthwhile endeavors, Richard |
|
|
Meyer has made a positive difference in his community, and his |
|
|
achievements have earned him widespread admiration and |
|
|
appreciation; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Richard Meyer on his selection as |
|
|
2014 Man of the Year by the Port Lavaca Chamber of Commerce and |
|
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Meyer as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
