R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Dr. Patty Collier received a 2015 Teaching
  Excellence Award from Austin Community College; and
         WHEREAS, Each year, Austin Community College recognizes
  faculty members whose knowledge, innovation, and teaching
  philosophy set them apart; and
         WHEREAS, An associate professor at ACC, Dr. Collier helps
  coordinate the school's Physical Therapist Assistant Program; she
  teaches courses in pathophysiology, neuroscience, management of
  neurological disorders, therapeutic exercise, professional issues,
  wound care, and clinical education; and
         WHEREAS, Dr. Collier was inspired to become an educator
  during her work as a clinician at local hospitals, where she helped
  physical therapy students complete their field training; she joined
  the staff at ACC in an adjunct capacity in 2007, and she became a
  full-time instructor in 2013; moreover, she also finds the time to
  serve patients at Seton Medical Center as a practicing physical
  therapist; and
         WHEREAS, Dedicated to her profession, Dr. Collier is helping
  her students reach their full potential both in and out of the
  classroom, and she is indeed deserving of this prestigious honor;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Dr. Patty Collier on her receipt of
  a 2015 Teaching Excellence Award and extend to her sincere best
  wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Dr. Collier as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
