R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt at
  the loss of Deputy Sheriff Catherine Denee Breeding of the
  Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, who passed away on January 29,
  2015, at the age of 21; and
         WHEREAS, Catherine Breeding was born on August 12, 1993, to
  Steve and Barbara Breeding in Conroe, where she grew up and shared
  many happy childhood memories with her brothers, Matthew and
  Christopher; a bright and enthusiastic student, she graduated cum
  laude from Providence Classical Christian School in 2011, and she
  took pleasure in performing with the Christian Youth Theater; she
  also served on mission trips with The Crossing Church in The
  Woodlands, and she was a valued member of The Ark Church in Conroe;
  and
         WHEREAS, While working part-time at a restaurant in The
  Woodlands, Ms. Breeding became acquainted with a number of police
  officers, an experience that kindled her desire to pursue a law
  enforcement career of her own; she enrolled in the criminal justice
  program at Lone Star College, and in October 2014, she graduated
  second in her class at the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office
  Training Academy; assigned to patrol the area around The Woodlands,
  she dedicated herself proudly and wholeheartedly to her work, and
  she continued to strengthen the friendships that had helped her
  discover her calling; she was also a member of the Combined Law
  Enforcement Associations of Texas; and
         WHEREAS, Deputy Breeding frequently volunteered her time at
  local events, including the MS 150 Bike Ride, the Dragon Boat Races,
  and the Run Thru the Woods; in every endeavor she undertook, she
  enjoyed the support and affection of a host of friends and family,
  and her warmth and sense of humor lightened the spirits of countless
  people who shared in her journey; and
         WHEREAS, Catherine Breeding found her purpose in serving the
  community she loved, and though her life ended far too soon, those
  fortunate enough to have known her will remember her light and
  laughter, and she will forever hold a treasured place in their
  hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Deputy Sheriff
  Catherine Denee Breeding and extend deepest sympathy to the members
  of her family: to her parents, Steve and Barbara Breeding; to her
  brothers, Matthew and Christopher Breeding; to her grandparents,
  Jim and Jo Ann Breeding, Lucille Landry, and Robert Landry; to her
  uncles and aunts, Bruce and Lucille Cudmore, Chris and Maria Tassa,
  Joel Breeding, Ellen Fouts, and Barbara Abadie; to her cousins,
  Bruce and Kelly Cudmore, Bob Cudmore, Fred and Rosie Beaubien,
  Benjamin Cudmore, Amanda, Cherrie, and Sarah Jo Abadie, and
  Gabriella, Christopher, Anthony, and Andrea Tassa; and to her other
  relatives and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Deputy
  Catherine Breeding.
