R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  passing of Albert V. Hallford of Fredericksburg on December 20,
  2014, at the age of 81; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Hallford was born in Fort Stockton on September
  5, 1933, to Currie and Annie Webb Hallford; after graduating from
  Fort Stockton High School, he served with the United States Army
  from 1954 to 1956 and later went on to earn a master's degree in
  education from Sul Ross State University; and
         WHEREAS, For 40 years, Mr. Hallford worked as a teacher and
  principal in Balmorhea and Alpine schools; additionally, he served
  as an Alpine municipal judge, and he raised Hereford cattle as a
  rancher; in his free time, he enjoyed baseball and cheering on his
  favorite basketball team, the San Antonio Spurs; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Hallford shared more than half a century of
  marriage with the former Margaret McKinney; he helped to raise two
  daughters, Kim and Denise, and through the years, his beloved
  family grew to include six grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, While the death of Albert Hallford brings great
  sadness to his many loved ones, he leaves behind a legacy that will
  long be treasured by all those who held him dear; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Albert V. Hallford
  and extend heartfelt condolences to the members of his family: to
  his wife, Margaret Hallford; to his children, Kimberly Stone and
  her husband, Scott, and Denise Looney and her husband, Chris; to his
  grandchildren, Carlee, Isabella, Carson, Catherine, Annie, and
  Bradlee; to his siblings, Dorothy Lentz, Betty Henslee and her
  husband, Ira Lee, and Currie Hallford and his wife, Karen; and to
  his other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Albert V.
  Hallford.
