R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
  by a great and enduring love, Hilmar and Adeline Hartmann of Schertz
  celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on September 12, 2014;
  and
         WHEREAS, The couple initially met as neighbors in Comal
  County while growing up in the 1930s, but they only began dating
  after Mr. Hartmann returned from his naval service in the Pacific
  theater during World War II; Hilmar Valentine Hartmann married the
  former Adeline Mae Voigt on September 12, 1951, at a ceremony held
  at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Selma; and
         WHEREAS, Through the years, they have been blessed with a
  treasured family that includes their children and their spouses,
  Larry and Tricia, Darvin and Valerie, Kathy and Keith, and Cynthia
  and Marty, as well as their 12 grandchildren, Todd, Tim, Taylor,
  Kendall, Chelsey, Stacey, Kevin, Kelsey, Kara, Kyle, Trevor, and
  Landon; and
         WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Hartmann
  enjoyed a rewarding career at the Mission Valley Textile mill in New
  Braunfels until his retirement in 1986, and Mrs. Hartmann has been
  a devoted homemaker; today, they still live on the family farm in
  the original home built by Mr. Hartmann, where they manage the
  land, care for their livestock, and appreciate all of life's
  blessings; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Hartmann have delighted in more than
  six decades of abiding love and affection for one another, and they
  are among an exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a
  lasting commitment; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Hilmar and Adeline Hartmann on the
  occasion of their 63rd wedding anniversary and extend to them
  sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
