R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The Greater Keller Chamber of Commerce is
  celebrating its 35th anniversary on March 5, 2015; and
         WHEREAS, Formed in 1979 and officially incorporated in 1980,
  the Greater Keller Chamber of Commerce works to foster economic and
  professional development in the city of Keller and surrounding
  areas; over the years, the city has grown immensely, and the chamber
  has continued to act as a uniting voice for the business community;
  and
         WHEREAS, The chamber hosts a variety of events designed to
  serve area residents and promote local businesses; in addition to a
  gala and awards ceremony, an evening of wine and jazz with a silent
  auction, and other gatherings, the chamber partners with the City
  of Keller to organize the family-friendly KellerFest weekend; the
  chamber also provides its more than 500 members with myriad
  valuable resources, including educational and networking
  opportunities; and
         WHEREAS, Since its inception, the chamber has been ably led
  by three presidents; the first was Susan Ford, who served for 20
  years, and the second was Susanne Johnson, who served for 9 years;
  Rudy Martinez is the current president, and he is celebrating his
  first anniversary in this role; and
         WHEREAS, The Greater Keller Chamber of Commerce has greatly
  benefited area residents for 35 years, and the celebration of this
  milestone provides a fitting opportunity to commend everyone
  associated with this dynamic organization for their commitment to
  progress and prosperity; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate the Greater Keller Chamber of
  Commerce on its 35th anniversary and extend to all of its members
  sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, Than an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the chamber as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
