R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt at
  the loss of U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Justin Holt, who died while
  serving his country on February 6, 2015, at the age of 31; and
         WHEREAS, Assigned to Bravo Troop 2-1 CAV Company 4th ID,
  Staff Sgt. Holt lost his life in a training accident at Fort Carson
  Army Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado; and
         WHEREAS, Justin Holt was born in Paris on September 3, 1983,
  to Robert and Judy Holt; after graduating from Pittsburg High
  School, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Germany and
  Kuwait, in addition to deploying twice to Iraq; he was supported in
  all of his endeavors by a loving family, and he was the proud father
  of two children, Kayden and Morgan; and
         WHEREAS, Americans owe a profound debt of gratitude to this
  nation's servicemen and servicewomen, who make immeasurable
  sacrifices for their country and who risk their very lives in its
  behalf; and
         WHEREAS, Exemplifying the highest ideals of the U.S. armed
  forces, Justin Holt inspired others with his fortitude, tenacity,
  and courage; although his death leaves a void in the lives of his
  loved ones, they will forever carry memories of this heroic Texan
  close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of U.S. Army Staff
  Sergeant Justin Holt and extend deepest sympathy to the members of
  his family: to his children, Kayden Cummings and Morgan Holt; to his
  father, Robert Holt; to his mother, Judy Holt; to his grandmother,
  Evelyn Davidson; to his sister, Adrian Henry; to his stepsister,
  Beth Deal; to his brothers, Shannon Sessums and Joshua Holt; to his
  stepbrother, Joe Holt; and to his other relatives and many friends;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Staff
  Sergeant Justin Holt.
